GENERAL POLICY STATEMENT

Every effort is made here at the Cuckoo Nest to correctly describe items for sale, including materials, workmanship, correct functioning, history, and operational testing of clocks offered for sale. Every cuckoo clock offered for sale as new has passed a 72 hour operational performance by the manufacturer, that manufacturer being Anton Schneider Soehne GmbH & Co KG.
At this time, the only new clocks we offer for sale are cuckoo clocks. All other clocks for sale will be older, i.e. not new. Each will have in its description a statement as to its approximate age. Each is identified as to repair status and the functionality tests to which it has been subjected. All restorations are done on site and done by, or supervised by, our lead service craftsman, who has twenty years experience on the bench and has personally done over four thousand clocks.

WARRANTIES
As noted above, all items are warranteed to be what they were represented to be. Since a clock is actually a machine, with mechanical parts, gears, wheels, etc., it requires some operator expertise to be operated. Thus a significant number of startup problems are due to operator error or lack of knowledge. With that in mind, no clock will be accepted for return without prior approval, which must include the buyer having spoken with our service persons, to identify the problem and make some effort to rectify the problem by phone.
Any refund amount on a returned clock is subject to the returned condition.
Any new clock returned for refund will be subject to a 20 % fee on the refund, because the clock can no longer be sold as new regardless of the return reason.
Returned older clocks are not subject to the 20 % fee, since they were not sold as new.
Because of their very nature, any watch for sale is sold as is, with no return or refund. Any
watch offered will be illustrated and described in great detail.

SHIPPING
We presently ship only to the contiguous US. All shipping is via UPS with new clocks shipping within 48 hours of our receiving the order. All other items ship within 7 business days, since some larger or fragile items will require significant packing effort. The fee for packing and shipping on any new cuckoo clock is $15.45 regardless of destination. The fee for packing and shipping on all other items is included in the item description.

INSURANCE
We insure items shipped out. Insurance on a return is the obligation of the buyer.
